
Sports Committee
RDIAS aims at the physical development of students beyond academic excellence outside the classroom. The institute provides facilities like volleyball, tennis, chess, cricket, basketball, Athletics, Yoga, carom board, Billiards and others. The club organizes various sports events to provide leadership and recreation opportunities to the students and faculty in order to enhance their knowledge and skill in a specific sport of interest while at the same time retaining social, cognitive and physical experiences. It helps to learn teamwork at work, coordination among diverse cultural and mainly infuses discipline and instills the value system in one individual.
OBJECTIVES
- To promote every individual’s health, physical and overall well-being as well as the acquisition of physical skills amongst the students and staff members.
- To provide the platform to students to develop the value of ingenuity, adaptability, competence & ethics by inviting participants from across the institute

Yoga is a practice that connects the body, breath, and mind. It uses physical postures, breathing exercises, and meditation to improve overall health. Meditation is a practice in which an individual uses a technique – such as mindfulness, or focusing the mind on a particular object, thought, or activity – to train attention and awareness. RDIAS organizes yoga and meditation sessions for students and faculties on regular basis and celebrates International Yoga day to raise awareness among students and faculties of the many benefits of practicing yoga.

RDIAS also ensures students to play cricket as it reinforces important concepts like teamwork, leadership, and discipline. Not every campus cricketer pursues the sport professionally, but the network they build during tours, training sessions and tournaments is invaluable and helps throughout their career. It provides an excellent opportunity to showcase ones talent to a big audience and get noticed by the people that matter
